Agricultural machinery operates in one of the harshest environments for steel: constant moisture, mud, fertilizers containing salts and nitrates, slurry, and impacts. An inadequately protected chassis can become unusable in just a few years.
Where to apply it
- Trailer chassis and main beams.
- Frames for implements, harrows, cultivators, and spreaders.
- Greenhouse structures, agricultural buildings, and livestock fencing.
- Repairs after welding reinforcements or couplings.
Advantages over conventional paint
- Active protection: impacts from stones and tools do not create a path for rust as they would with normal paint.
- Applied directly on the farm with a brush or roller, without disassembly or the need to send it for galvanizing.
- Dries quickly even in winter and in damp conditions.
How to apply it properly
Wash with high-pressure water, allow to dry, brush off loose rust, and degrease. Apply 2–3 coats of GALVANOL, paying particular attention to welds, corners, and areas where mud accumulates. If you want the original color, paint over it with a solvent-based enamel.
Which size to choose?
For a medium-sized trailer, a bucket of GALVANOL 10 kg is usually enough to cover the chassis and implements with some to spare (≈ 20 m² with 2 coats). For minor repairs, choose GALVANOL 2 kg or the GALVANOL Spray 500 ml.
